Asahi Printing is committed to upholding customer agreements and taking a customer-first approach to manufacturing and service, rooted in our philosophy of care through packaging. We will continue to improve our quality management systems to support this approach.
Our goal is to be a company continually chosen by our customers by consistently delivering products that meet their expectations and by offering new value-added solutions.

Business Coutinuity Plan (BCP)

We are committed to building systems that ensure business continuity and minimize damage in the event of natural disasters, such as major earthquakes, so we can continue delivering products to our customers.

Multiple Manufacturing Bases

We have installed production equipment at multiple sites across the Asahi Printing Group to enable the manufacture of the same product specifications at different locations.

In 2015, we opened the Kyoto Creative Park in Kizugawa City, Kyoto, as a new manufacturing site to complement our previously centralized operations in Toyama. This allows us to build a more resilient supply structure in coordination with our Toyama facilities.

The West Building of the Kyoto Creative Park began operation in April 2021, further enhancing the efficiency of our production network and strengthening our BCP capabilities.

Safety Confirmation System

To quickly assess employee safety during emergencies, we have implemented a safety confirmation system.
This system allows us to take swift and appropriate action based on the status of our employees.

External ESG Certification Authorities

Asahi Printing participates in three globally recognized ESG rating programs—CDP, EcoVadis, and Sedex—to enhance our CSR activities across the supply chain.
Each year, we proactively apply the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle and leverage external evaluations to identify and address company-wide challenges.

Social Contribution Activities

We contribute to our local communities by supporting regional events, sending lecturers to educational institutions, welcoming factory tours, and offering training opportunities.

Asahi Printing has established a special-purpose subsidiary to promote the employment of persons with disabilities, reflecting our commitment to both corporate growth and community contribution.

Asahi International Education Foundation

To commemorate our 140th anniversary, we established the Asahi International Education Foundation, which provides scholarships to outstanding international students—primarily from ASEAN countries—studying at universities in Toyama Prefecture.
Through scholarships and cultural exchange, we support young people in achieving their dreams and building a brighter future.

UN Global Compact

The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is the world’s largest sustainability initiative, promoting collaboration between the United Nations and the private sector to build a sustainable and inclusive global society. It encourages responsible and visionary leadership, enabling companies and organizations to act as good corporate citizens and achieve sustainable growth independently.
Participating companies commit to upholding ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption. Asahi Printing became a signatory of the UNGC in June 2021.
Guided by these principles, we remain committed to protecting human rights, eliminating unfair labor practices, minimizing environmental impact, and preventing corruption as we work toward a more sustainable future.

The Toyama SDGs Declaration

To promote sustainable practices, Asahi Printing has joined the Toyama SDGs Declaration. We regularly review our goals, identify priority actions, and pursue them efficiently. We also ensure that these activities are visible and widely communicated to the public.

In the role of a company that operates the businesses related to beauty and health, we take “employee’s health” as a strategic management objective and promote to build good work environment that represents corporate structure and contributes to the sustainability and growth of the company.

Health Management Promotion Systems

We establish “Health Management Promotion Council”, and develop promotion systems under the direction of our Representative Director and President.

At the council, we share employees' health issues and develop action plans, and we implement these plans together with related divisions, Safety and Health Committee, corporate nurses, and employee’s social union.

Lifestyle-related Disease Prevention Measures

Cancer Prevention

  • In addition to legally-mandated periodic health checkup items and supplementary health insurance options, the company will pay for colorectal cancer screening, stomach cancer screening, breast cancer screening, cervical cancer screening, and prostate cancer screening

External Evaluation

To ensure the physical and mental well-being of our employees, we have been implementing our health management program since 2018. In March 2018, we received DBJ Health Management Rating Grade (1) by the Development Bank of Japan in recognition of our efforts. Striving for even more effective management, we applied for the “Health Company Declaration” in June 2018 and were qualified for the Step 1 grade in June 2019, followed by the Step 2 grade in March 2020, granted by Japan Health Insurance Association. In March 2023, we received DBJ Health Management Rating Grade (1) from the Development Bank of Japan, acknowledging our dedicated focus and efforts on employee health. Moreover, for the fourth consecutive year, our initiatives were recognized and certified under the "Health & Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program (Large Enterprise Category)" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan.

Health and Safety Initiatives

Concept for Safety and Health

We value “our lives” and base on the activities of securing our safety and health involving all employees to establish and maintain our “safe work environment.”

1.Compliance with Laws and Regulations

We comply with all the related laws and regulations and ensure the safety and health of our employees.

2.Safety and Health Committee

We promote activities for safety and health suitable to each work environment as we organize a satellite safety and health committee at each business unit under supervision of our central safety and health committee.

3.Risk Assessment

We periodically conduct risk assessments on our machinery and chemical materials to achieve and maintain our “safe work environment” that prevents us from having industrial accidents.
By means of our preventative measures to reduce dangerous and hazardous risks in the working areas, we strive to eliminate potential causes of dangers from the areas.

Human Resources Development

We hold periodic training sessions separated by employee’s class and role to improve their skills that they can do their jobs well and that our business performance and trust of our stakeholders may be lifted.

Concept for Respecting Human Rights

We respect for the dignity and human rights of our customers, directors and employees and others and build the corporate culture that never allows discrimination for races, nationality, beliefs, religions, disability, age, marital status, or SOGI.

1.Women's Participation Promotion Action Plan

We have an action plan in motion based on the Act on Promotion of Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace.
Its objective is for all female employees in our company to contribute to societies by using their personality and abilities.

2.Next Generation Development Support Action Plan

In accordance with the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support the Raising Next-Generation Children, our company has formulated an action plan to help employees balance work and childcare. Through this initiative, we aim to create a more supportive work environment and enhance work-life balance.
