One Handed PC Pack

Patent pending

A tablet comes out by just folding the backing called "PC Pack" (*1) into two. Patients who have disabled fingertips or have insufficient strength to push can easily retrieve a tablet out of this packaging.

Note *1: "PC Pack" stands for "Patient Compliance Packaging" and literally means packaging that makes patients comply with instructions. This is our original name to call the packaging, and it is generally known as "card backing" or "wallet".
This packaging is comprised of a PTP sheet (*2) covered by paperboard backings. The descriptions of a medicine name, dosage and administration in easily readable size and even the dates to actually take medicines may be added. This packaging is rather adopted where dose methods are complicated and likely to cause mistakes: dosage of a medicine is once a week, or different medicines that should be taken at different timings are prescribed together, for instance.

Note *2: "PTP" stands for "Press Through Package." Generally, a PTP sheet is composed of a thin metal sheet such as aluminum and a blister that are combined to shape cavities for each tablet or capsule.
