We honor agreements with our customers, embracing the spirit of ‘tsu tsu mu ko ko ro’ - the heartfelt hospitality, by always putting ourselves in their shoes in manufacturing activities and providing services, and in this regard we continue to retool our quality management system. We strive “to be the choice of customers” by constantly improving our systems from their perspectives, delivering trouble-free products, and offering new values to their products.

Basic Concept for Planning and Development

To realize our management policy to “disseminate a new packaging culture to Japan and the world as we embrace 'tsu tsu mu ko ko ro' – the heartfelt hospitality – in the field of packaging for beauty and health,” we will lead the packaging industry by answering to various packaging needs of customers with our marketing advantage and accumulated ideas and by innovating packaging originality.

Concept for Intellectual Property Right

We respect the intellectual property of others as we acquire and utilize our intellectual property right while setting a provision “protection of intellectual property” in the corporate code and compliance.
Promotion of our technical development and patent acquisition helps us improve our business performance and differentiate from other company products. As for our customers, such initiative helps reduce the risks of the intellectual property caused by our products.
We set and follow the following policies.

    We contribute to the society by means of processes to discover, apply, authorize and utilize new innovation as we respect for intellectual properties.
  2. 2. Compliance with Laws and Social Ethics
    We comply with the laws and social ethics associated with intellectual property right.
  3. 3. Control System
    Abiding with these policies, we manage our intellectual property and usage collectively at our Intellectual Property Management Office to protect our intellectual property from other companies and not to violate vice versa.

Our Innovations

We are developing the system to minimize the damage and continue our business in order that we could deliver our products to customers even in the case of natural disasters such as earthquake.

◆Multiple Manufacturing Bases
Our manufacturing plants are organized by market and product family, and they are equipped with compatible facilities in order to manufacture same products at multiple bases.
Since our manufacturing bases used to be centralized in Toyama-shi, we built our new production site, Kyoto Creative Park, in Kizugawa-shi, Kyoto in August 2015. As a result of this, the solidarity supply system between Toyama and Kyoto is now achieved.The West Building at Kyoto Creative Park began operations in April 2021, streamlining manufacturing bases and contributing to a robust BCP.
◆Safety Confirmation System
We have employed a safety confirmation system to grasp the situations of our employees at the time of disasters. By this system, we may properly and promptly take an initial response for our employees that suits their situations.

Participating in Activities at ESG External Certification Authorities

Asahi Printing participates in activities at the CDP, EcoVadis, and Sedex international external certification bodies as a way to improve our CSR activities with customers in the supply chain. Every year we engage in an active PDCA cycle, and will continue to make use of external evaluation services to identify and resolve company-wide issues.
